Sometimes you can hit them, but you gotta shoot them in front of their trajectory a bit, as well to wait for them to stop looping so tightly.ĭid you try putting a missile turret or AA turret on a Seal or Walrus and use that as AA defense? (probably gotta fire the missiles manually because ive nevre seen my walrusses fire the missile array by themselves. Most of the time, Ive found IR missiles to lack the agility to hit enemy Manta which was looping around me. IR Missiles are not perfect for air targets, for those we gotta wait for AA missiles for our air units (those were not accessible in the demo). If I attempt to use a mixed set of joystick and keyboard inputs, using one input source will interrupt the other - so. Normally it takes around 3-4 of those to sink a NeedleFish ship) Ive found the NeedleFish ships to be almost defenseless against those missiles. You can easily shoot down ground targets with them, as well as aircrafts (bit more difficult) and ships (if you fire 4 IR rockets, 2-3 would usually score a hit.ĭepends on your approach vector and where the ship has CIWS placed. I was wondering if you manually control the camera and let the missile stay auto you could get the missile to fire at a target with the engine on if you use say an IR missile? I was wondering about this because in the trailer it appears that one of the albatrosses actually fires at a ground target with a missile when the gimbal camera is painting it and it isn't aiming at the target nose first. It's a rather poor show that you have to move your right hand all the way over to the mouse to fire then back to the arrow keys when the mouse flight would make everything so much easier. Hopefully they allow for the mouse for flying. If you want to get the most out of them you'll have to grab a game pad and fly them yourself. Its nice to be able to actually pilot aircraft without battling clunky keyboard controls. TBH AI controlled aircraft are useless for anything other than recon flights. All weapons on the Albatross are fixed forward, so you'll have to revert to the forward facing camera and point the aircraft at the target if you want to use them. You use it for marking targets and calling in carrier support. ![]() Originally posted by OMCOne Man Clan:The gimbal camera is just a camera.
